Drengestua Café

Thursday–Sunday all year round.

Open during the museum’s opening hours in the summer season.

Enjoy homemade food in historic surroundings! Karoline and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson took great pride in welcoming guests from Norway and abroad, and we aim to carry on their warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere.

Homemade food

The café serves simple lunch dishes, homemade cakes, a selection of drinks, and not least the popular cinnamon buns.

For Sjølgjort, who runs the café, there is also a local expectation that blueberry pancakes must be on the menu. It’s no surprise – this is said to have been one of Bjørnson’s favourite dishes. The pancakes are also very popular with younger visitors.

Opening hours

Drengestua Café is open during the museum’s opening hours in the summer season, and Thursday–Sunday for the rest of the year.
