Summer at Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's Aulestad
Join guided tours, explore the beautiful garden and enjoy engaging exhibitions.
Aulestad is a historic home which offers a rich encounter with Nobel Prize laureate Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson and his wife Karoline. Aulestad is one of Norway’s best-preserved artist homes. From here, he spoke out for freedom and justice.
Through guided tours and exhibitions, you will learn about the Nobel Prize winner’s life, literary work, and the values he fought for. We offer guided tours several times daily during the summer season, and on weekends in September.
Below, you will find selected highlights to experience this summer.
